Billing Statements

The Production Process The Company produces complete payment system products from raw material to delivery to the borrower. Paper used for the production of forms, coupon payment books, marketing supplements, inserts, etc., is purchased as raw stock directly from several paper mills and/or their local sales centers. This stock is converted from rolled paper to cut sheet stock. In the process, perforations, custom and generic printing is performed and forms are placed in cartons where they are warehoused for later use in computer printing. Both customer-owned stock and generic stock is inventoried under a computerized inventory control system linked to the company’s financial management system. Our principal products are: Periodic Billing Statements, Invoices Desktop Check/Document Printing Systems (EDGE) Customized Business Forms (Kodiak business forms division) NetBill Suite of On-line Internet Based Products
All computer printed products are processed similarly, beginning with the receipt of customer information via one of several available media, i.e., magnetic tape, data communications, diskette, etc. These data are entered into the Company’s computing system and are gathered into production groupings that are then converted for printing. Completed files are spooled to the network for printing. Work is distributed across the variety of printers maintained for the production process. Printing is done on either generic or customer computer forms and may be simplex (front only) or duplex (front and back). Statements are produced on 8-1/2 by 11 or 14-inch forms and may have multiple pages. After printing they are sent to intelligent finishing systems where they are folded and inserted into mailing envelopes along with any inserts that may be required. Completed statements are commingled with other mail pieces before submission to the US Postal Service. Coupon payment books are printed five coupons to a page. Up to 60 pages may be in a single book. After printing, the book sets are stitched, bound, and cut into individual books in a single step. They are inspected at a pre-shipping station and moved to insertion workstations where they are placed in envelopes along with any supplemental materials required by the customer. Books being mailed directly to the borrowers are stamped with first class mail and are forwarded to a commingling system where they are mixed with other customers’ coupon payment books and/or statements in order to maximize postage discounts. |
